The Snoop Sisters pay a visit to 1400 Bar & Grill

Expecting to pay a surprise visit to a family birthday celebration of a dear lady friend of ours, we, the Snoop sisters, patronized the 1400 Bar & Grill (a historical landmark in Alameda formerly known as Croll's Garden) on a recent Friday evening.  What a charming, bustling and inviting West End establishment we stepped into! A handsome young host politely seated us front and center and immediately delivered our desired cocktails. (You simply must try their specialty Plack Tai).  We ordered the Catch of the Day. Our dinners, grilled pink, tender salmon cooked to perfection lying sensuously on a bed of steamed spinach, were just what our DASH diet called for.  The chicken wings, described as "finger-licking good" were highly recommended by another customer, and we shall certainly try them on our next visit.  Such a friendly, welcoming bar and grill, with a tasty and healthful menu.  By the way, Bertha was a little tipsy on her way out of the 1400 Bar and Grill, after three Plack Tai's.

We give 1400 Bar & Grill 4 Eyebrows Up!
