'This Ticket Is For Entertainment Purposes Only'
Have you gotten a parking ticket in Alameda recently? Look closely — it may be a fake.

ALAMEDA, CA —File this under, "Some people have too much time on their hands." It's the folder right behind, "Seriously?"
The Alameda Police Department has issued a warning about fake parking tickets. Someone took a ticket to the Records Clerk to pay their citation, and the ticket was immediately labeled as fraudulent. The biggest giveaway was the fine print that read, "Finally, this ticket was issued by a concerned citizen and is not an actual fine. This ticket is for entertainment purposes only.”

"The tickets do not appear as an attempt to defraud anyone and should be disregarded if one appears on your windshield," police said in a social media posting.
If you have a real ticket, pay it online. You have to input the citation number, and then it calls up the information. A fake ticket will be rejected.
