Tony La Russa at Books Inc. Alameda
Fabled baseball manager will sign copies of his new book, "One Last Strike," Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
The third-winningest manager in baseball history, Tony La Russa shares his memoir One Last Strike, which takes readers into the dugout with the 2011 Cardinals for their epic journey from ten games down to world champions in just over a month.
Learn the inside story of this astonishing comeback and La Russa’s remarkable career, including his championship years with the Oakland A’s. The book signing is on Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at 7 p.m. at Books Inc., 1344 Park St. This is a ticketed event. Tickets are $30 and include a copy of One Last Strike and the opportunity to have it autographed by Tony La Russa in person. A portion of the sales benefit the Alameda Education Foundation (AEF). AEF will also be hosting a “pre-game” party at 6 p.m. and invites all La Russa fans to enjoy food and beverages with friends before the signing.
