2 Arrested For Berkeley Strong-Arm Robbery: Police

BERKELEY, CA — Two suspects were arrested in downtown Berkeley Monday night after they allegedly stole a cellphone in a strong-arm robbery, University of California police said.

The victim was walking at Shattuck Avenue and Center Street at around 10 p.m. when two people took her phone and ran off.

City and campus police responded to the area and arrested 20-year-old Raina Doss and an unidentified 17-year-old.

Doss was booked into the Berkeley Police Department Jail Facility and is being held on $100,000 bail, the maximum bail for first-degree robbery.

Her arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. this morning.
