This year’s Citizen and Youth of the Year are being honored for their extraordinary volunteer work in Albany at a dinner on Wednesday, October 16.

Details: Dinner will be from 6:00-8:00 pm at Solano Grill & Bar, 1133 Solano Avenue. The cost is $35, which includes salad, choice of entrée, dessert and beverage (including wine) will be $35.00. Art Walk, October 12
Solano Avenue Association and many galleries and art stores will host the Fall Solano Art Walk on Saturday, October 12, from 5:30-9:30 pm. They will be offering demonstrations, specials and other events.

Party, November 9
Today, October 9, is John Lennon’s birthday. Next month, Saturday, November 9, the Albany Rotary is hosting a Groovin’ to the 60’s Party, featuring your favorite music from a creatively extravagant decade.
Come as you were, or might have been, in the 60’s: Hippie, Rocker, Mod, Surfer, etc. There will be contests, a raffle, light fare and drinks. All proceeds benefit Rotary’s community and international projects, such as Relay for Life and Polio Plus.
