AC Transit Seeking Volunteers for Accessibility Committee

Members address concerns with transit services for seniors and people with disabilities.

The Alameda-Contra Costa County Transit District is seeking volunteers for an advisory committee to help ensure that transit services are accessible and easily obtainable by all members of the public.

The 14-member Accessibility Advisory Committee meets once a month on Tuesdays to address concerns with transit services for seniors and people with disabilities and advise the district’s board of directors on bus accessibility.

The district asks that applicants use fixed-route service, be or represent seniors or people with disabilities and be willing to volunteer the hours required. Volunteers commit to a yearlong term of service starting March 1.
