Albany Education Foundation/Wells Fargo Scholarships Awarded

The Albany Education Foundation was thrilled to secure a $3,000 grant from Wells Fargo specifically for scholarships for graduating seniors. This is the second year this scholarship has been awarded.

Three Albany High seniors received a $1,000 AEF /Wells Fargo Scholarship. The recipients all plan to attend a four-year college, and were highly recommended by Albany High faculty.

The winners are:
NORA RODRIGUEZ who will be heading to Boston, where she plans to attend Northeastern University and study American Sign Language, preparing for a career as a sign language interpreter.

THALIA TOM who plans to attend UC Davis and hopes to become a pediatrician.  Thalia is also the recipient of the Albany Chamber of Commerce Youth of the Year Award.
