ALBANY JAZZ BIG BAND SPRING CONCERT

The Albany Jazz Big Band, an Albany based community band, popular at the Solano Stroll and other bay area events, offers exciting classic to modern big band repertoire at a 2016 Spring Concert. Choice gems from composers like Hoagie Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk, Oliver Nelson, Tom Jobim, Brazil 66, and more spanning 80 years of big band jazz. The band is made up of 23 musicians and singers, many of whom are active in the Albany community: Ken Sirchuk, Sandra Sprague, Jamie Dowd, Catherine DeCuir, Peter Herbert, Stuart Kelman, Kevin Costa, Dan Siegel, Richard Kalman, Cookie Reese, several others, and Conductor Bob Levenson.
