Albany Not Impacted By Power Shutoff
The city reminds residents that more people may come into Albany to eat at restaurants and shop because of outages elsewhere.

ALBANY, CA — No residents within the city of Albany had power shut off during PG&E's weekend Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). PG&E has begun to inspect power lines to turn the power back on to hundreds of thousands of customers across the state who were impacted by the shutoff, a process that could take 48 hours.
The power company has announced another PSPS weather event scheduled to begin on Tuesday. Fewer homes are expected to lose power this time.
The city of Albany reminded residents in a release, "Even if your power isn't shut off by PG&E, you may experience an unplanned power outage due to the projected high winds."

Power will likely be off for PG&E’s customers in the East Bay Hills, so if you drive to impacted areas, allow extra time for intersections where the power is out to traffic signals and make allowances for street lights to be out.
While Albany got away with not being in an outage area this time, the city reminds residents to be ready for any potential disaster with sufficient water, food, and emergency supplies to last for several days.
