Albany Police Activities League Begins Crocodile Wrestling Season on Wednesday, September 4

The Albany Police Activities League (APAL) is excited to announce the beginning of a new session of Crocodile wrestling.  This program is designed to teach1st - 5th grade boys and girls basic wrestling techniques.  Participants are paired with other wrestlers of similar weight and age and every practice is supervised by coaches with wrestling experience. The sport of wresting includes tumbling and stretching while improving both coordination and agility and is lots of fun. Socialization and team building skills also increase as wrestlers work together becoming one team.  No previous experience is necessary to participate.

Practices are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday, September 4 from 6:30 – 7:30 in the Ocean View multipurpose room and on Saturday morning beginning September 7 from 10:00 – 11:30 in the Albany High School wrestling room.  The fee through June 2014 is $35.00.  Participants may attend as many days per week as their schedule allows.

For more information and to download a registration form please see our web site, www.albanypal.net or contact Peggy McQuaid at apal@albanypal.net or 526-7855.  You are welcome to visit any practice to meet the coaches and learn more about this fun program.
