Albany Police Investigate Murder

It happened on the Ohlone Greenway on Sunday morning

ALBANY, CA —Albany police are asking for the public's help after a man was shot and killed on the Ohlone Greenway on Sunday morning, police said.

According to police, officers reported to a call of a man injured on a bench of the greenway around the 600 block of Masonic Ave. near 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said the greenway was closed for an investigation, but anticipate it will reopen this morning.
