Albany Pool Vandalized, Shut Down Friday
Chairs and pool covers were thrown into the pool and liquor bottles were lying around.

The Albany Aquatic Center's outdoor pool was taken over by vandals sometime between closing Thursday, Oct. 25, and 5 a.m. Friday, when pool staff arrived for work.
Chairs and pool covers were thrown into the deep end of the pool and liquor bottles were strewn about, said Aquatic Center Director Amanda Garcia. The bottles still had safety caps on them, indicating they were stolen.
"We’re lucky that not too much was damaged," Amanda said.
