"Changes to school reopening plans approved by the Board of Education at last week’s Special Board Meeting necessitates new negotiations with our valued labor partner, the Albany Teachers Association (ATA). On Friday, ATA received this notice from the District. In short, the District proposes:
- Increased class sizes/cohorts to no more than twenty-four (24)
- Following state and county guidelines on physical distancing
- ATA members may meet with more than one cohort per day
Both parties will meet on Wednesday, March 24, to continue negotiations.

In the interest of transparency, I will be posting all District proposals for labor negotiations on our Labor Negotiations webpage. This will be a resource for staying informed and tracking our progress."
Stay hopeful and encouraged,
