American Idol Auditions Thursday, Write About it on Patch

Wristbands for the tryouts will be given out at AT&T Park until 8 a.m. Thursday.

Auditions for the next American Idol take place in San Francisco on Thursday, and Albany Patch is looking for a contestant from Albany to blog about it.

We want one of you to write about what the audition is like, how long the lines are, what song you want to sing, what kinds of crazy characters are in line with you and more. E-mail emilier@patch.com if you're interested.

San Francisco is the last stop on the show's Season 10 tour, and wristbands for the tryouts will be given out at AT&T Park until 8 a.m. Thursday.

(As an aside, the Idol website offers a tip clearly geared toward tourists: "Just because it is summer, doesn't mean it will be hot. You may want to bring a sweater to protect you from the notorious SF fog!")

The line begins at Third Street and Terry A. Francois Boulevard.
