Animation Weekend at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach

Before Real 3-D and CGI, groups of dedicated craftsmen produced films with brush and pen on cels. Relive the magic of these works of art with animation artist and teacher Steve Segal. Segal’s resume includes Toy Story, A Bug’s Life and The Brave Little Toaster. He provides unique insight into the techniques and history of films that are paintings come to life. You’ll see ‘toons in a whole new light! (Presentations at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday Only).

$15 for general admission ($10 for children and seniors). Open Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm. Playland is a Museum of Old-Fashioned Fun chock-full with over 30 pinball machines set on FREE play, penny arcade games and a carousel carnival (where you can win prizes), miniature circus, magic shows, and interactive displays honoring America’s Bygone Amusements.
