I am endlessly fascinated by the variety of details used by the builders of the houses of Albany. There are craftsman houses and bungalows and Moroccan and MacGregors and shingles and storybook and even some modern ones.
I really enjoy looking at one feature as it changes from house to house. My favorite variation is portals, porches and entrys. They are easily seen on the front of the houses. There are arches, angles, flats, innies, outies, porches, timbered, stucco, and even those where we wonder, "Where is the entry?"
