Back to School at Saint Mary's
Saint Mary's High opens 152nd school year and 87th year at Peralta Park in Berkeley

Saint Mary’s High opened its 152nd school year and 87th year at its Berkeley campus today, welcoming the Class of 2018 and several new faculty members. It promises to be another great school year. A new campus food service is on duty this year, provided by locally-owned and operated Choicelunch. Panther football, cross-country, men’s tennis, and women’s volleyball are all underway. Next football is at Saint Mary’s on September 6 vs. Miramonte. Back to School Night for parents is September 4. Students gathered for a first-day school assembly this morning and will enjoy a campus Block Party after school on Friday. The annual Mother & Son Dinner & Dance will take place on September 19.
Auditions begin this week for the annual Fall drama that opens on Halloween Night – a madcap, whimsical melodrama – “The Dastardly Dr. Devereuax.” Mark your calendars now! Performances are on October 31, November 1, 7, and 8.
Saint Mary’s sends continued good wishes to our faculty and staff members affected by the recent Napa quake, and to our fellow Lasallians at Justin-Siena High School and the Christian Brothers administrative headquarters and communities at Mont La Salle in Napa.
