Man Found On Albany Shoreline Drowned, Official Reports
The body was discovered last week.
ALBANY, CA —The Alameda County coroner's bureau has identified a man found in the water near Albany last week as 29-year-old Michael Phelan from Stockton.
Phelan was found along the shoreline off of Albany Beach, near the Albany Bulb, last Wednesday.
His body was discovered by a park visitor, according to Dave Mason with the East Bay Regional Park District.

The death has been determined to have been caused by drowning, Mason said.
