Blog: Chevron's Refinery Blows Up Again—The View From San Ramon

Chevron's executives left Richmond's pollution problems behind when they moved to San Ramon.

Once was headquartered in Richmond and Chevron executives built Architectual Digest homes in Pt. Richmond and the El Cerrito hills. Now they are all happily ensconced in the San Ramon Valley.

I doubt if there is another corporation on Earth that spends more on greenwashing its image. Meanwhile, they use legions of lawyers to relentlessly litigate and lobby against regulations and smother the city and county left holding the refinery in demands for tax rebates, refunds and recoveries.
