Daisy Dials 911
Daisy the beagle is old and spoiled and really doesn't like to be left alone. We went out for an afternoon and she managed to get the Albany Police to come visit.
On Sunday the 21st, we left our 15-year-old beagle at home alone while we went to a house concert in Oakland.
Our good friend Patrick is in Johnny Harper's band and they played two sets at the Avonova Music space (avonovamusic.com). We had a great time.
When we got home our neighbor told us that chaos had ensued. Daisy made a terrible racket, the neighborhood kids were worried, the police were called and went into our house!

There was a card from Officer J. Lara explaining that they entered after a report of a dog or possibly a person in distress.
We took her to the vet for another checkup and some tranquilizers but getting the right dose to calm her without knocking her out completely has been tricky. For some reason, the Albany Police Department didn't include Daisy in the report for April 21, even though the high level of drama was apparent.
