Girls Rock! Ends Successful Session
Exciting field trips are the highlight of this special program designed specially for middle-school girls.
The winter session of came to an end on Wednesday, April 3, with a pizza party. This program is designed specifically for middle school girls to foster self-esteem, help maintain authentic connection with other girls and adult women in their community, counter trends toward self-doubt, and allow for genuine self-expression through verbal sharing and creative activity. Girls Rock! is a partnership of the and the and follows the Girls Circle curriculum. This session focused on issues relating to “body image.” Field trips, which included rock climbing, bowling, and sailing on the Spirit of the Sea, proved to be extremely popular with the girls.
This summer GIRLS ROCK! CAMP will be held for girls entering grades 6-8. The theme of this afternoon camp is “Expressing My Individuality.” Along with the fun and creative group activities, girls will also go rock climbing and swimming.
