Ocean View Families and their Quilt
Ocean View students and parents come to Albany Library to celebrate their "Families" quilt!
The invites you to visit the children's area to view a special quilt made by Ocean View students.
The quilt was made in 2010 by teacher, AnnaLise Hoopes, and her class of first graders. The project capped off a year-long study of world geography and cultures. Students made panels representing themselves and their families, with images showing their cultures of origin. The quilt is truly international and represents the best of Albany--small town meets the world!
The young artists--now in third grade--were happy to see their first grade teacher, Annalise, her dog, Pogo and the beautiful art they had made. Other family members enjoyed the opening, as well.

The quilt went up Sunday, March 25, following a short reception. It will be on display through April. See the photos and visit us soon to see this art from Ocean View.
