September is Hunger Action Month
September is Hunger Action Month. Learn about the 30 Ways in 30 Days you can help us make a difference for the 1 in 6 Alameda County residents we serve.

The Alameda County Community Food Bank is proud of our advocacy efforts, which provide a voice for hundreds of thousands of our neighbors struggling with hunger.
The last few years have been tough -- need is higher than ever, while government cuts continue to chip away at vital safety-net programs our clients rely on.
We need your help! September is Hunger Action Month. Please join us for a number of opportunities to participate and learn about anti-hunger advocacy.

Make your voice heard:
- Get Out the Vote: Learn about how you can help us register voters at our member agencies, so that all of our community's voices are heard in November. Contact our Advocacy Manager, Keisha, at knzewi@accfb.org for details.
- Wear Orange Wednesdays: Show your support by joining hunger advocates nationwide wearing orange -- the official color of hunger relief -- to school, work and out in the world.
- Hunger and Poverty Town Hall -- October 4: The Food Bank is connecting decision-makers with the communities they serve. Mark your calendar and watch Facebook or Twitter for details.
These are just some of the 30 ways we're celebrating Hunger Action Month. For all "30 Ways in 30 Days" you can help fight hunger this September, check our calendar.
