The Kind of Day I Look for in Albany

A nice day in Albany.

What a gorgeous day! I was actually hot Wednesday, and that's saying something. I'm always cold, especially with the wind that blows through Albany all the time. I'm thin-skinned, literally. Well, sort of. Let's just say, I left my apartment in three layers and a scarf and ended up in just my t-shirt.

This is the sort of day that I look forward to, and I hope to have many more. After wrangling my 2-year-old son and all of his things together, we started our 1.6 mile trek to Memorial Park.

It's a nice walk, I get to stay on Solano for most of it. With all the sunshine, the park was very busy, which was nice. My son needs all the socialization he can get, being an only child.

We took a quick break from the park to get burritos over at Gordo's, and ate outside. Then we headed back to the park for another hour before heading home.

Sometimes, we'll hit Little Star Pizza or Royal Ground Coffee for a meal or a treat on the way home. These are two of my favorite spots in Albany, so far.

And, if my son hit, threw sand on, stole a toy from, or misbehaved in some other way with one or more of your children, we are sorry and send hugs!
