Review of Advisory Body Work Plan - The Council reviewed the revised work plan submitted by the Social & Economic Justice Commission and approved the work plan as presented.

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds: The Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-109, appropriating $900,000 in ARPA funds for the proposed Temporary COVID Public Assistance Program including a temporary COVID Community Engagement Specialist to facilitate the program and enhancing current existing City programs such as the brown bag program and program with BFHP (Berkeley Food & Housing Project) .

Outdoor Dining: The Council directed staff to pursue process as proposed to allow business to apply for Encroachment Permit for long term outdoor dining and also the Encroachment Permit for the use of sidewalk space.

Request for Proposals - Community Satisfaction & Racial Equity Survey: The Council authorized the issuance of a Request for Proposals for services to prepare and implement a community satisfaction & racial equity survey.
