The following provides a summary of actions taken by the City Council as part of the regular meetings on September 7, 2021: 

Review of Advisory Body Work Plan - The Council reviewed work plans submitted by the Economic Development Committee, Climate Action Committee, and Charter Review Committee and approved the work plans with minor modifications.

City Council Mission & Vision Statements Update: The Council's Mission Statement subcommittee received feedback and will return to Council to continue discussion of updating the City Council Mission & Vision Statement at future City Council meeting.

Social & Economic Justice Commission Request for Racial Equity Survey and Statistics: The Council directed staff to obtain feedback from a professional firm to get more info to determine the best solution to implement the survey.

Community Task Force on Policing Request for Creation of a Public Safety Accountability Commission: The Council return this request to the Task Force with direction to review the council discussion and address the points that have been raised and return to Council with options and a range of alternatives.

Next Regular City Council Virtual Meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 20, 2021 at 7:00 PM.
