Today, Indigenous Peoples Day, Albany community members gathered to recognize and celebrate the raising of the Confederated Villages of Lisjan flag at City Hall, which will be flown permanently after the City Council’s adoption of Resolution 2021-75 on September 20, 2021. This historic moment included speeches from Mayor Gary, Council Member McQuaid, and Corrina Gould, Tribal Chair of the Confederated Villages of Lisjan.
