[Editor's Note: Louie Jauregui, owner of wrote to let us know that he is retiring. The shop, which has operated on Solano Avenue for nearly a quarter-century, will close on May 24. .]
My daughter Anna and I are very grateful to our friends of Albany, Kensington, Berkeley, Richmond, El Cerrito and Emeryville, for the amazing support we received during the almost 24 years we were in business.
I must say that our journey throughout these years has definitely not been a "sentence," but a joyful experience. We enjoyed all the people we served and will miss everyone. I have chosen to retire while I am still healthy and able to join my wife Anita who, six years ago, retired from 33 years of teaching bilingual education to special education children.

I came to the avenue on Oct. 17, 1988.
We were not able to sell the business (the rent is too high) so our equipment, counters, desks, computers, tables, chairs, etc., etc., will be auctioned starting May 24. The items to be auctioned can be seen on the internet by going to www.rlonlineauctions.com. A preview of everything is available as of May 16.

So, what is Louie going to do?
I will continue , in Spanish and English, that deal with human and spiritual integration through Self-Knowledge. I have been doing this since 1976 in this Bay Area, as well as in Mexico, my country of origin, and through Skype, with Spanish-speaking people from as far away as Sweden to Argentina and countries in-between. I might also offer introductory talks to groups or individuals in this area if requested to do so. I have been doing this work free of charge to whoever requests it. I do accept voluntary contributions that will help me continue to teach.
Again, Anna and I thank ALBANY PATCH for your kind support, and thank you to all of you that wrote such nice reviews about our service.
Gratefully
