Saint Mary's takes two top spots at the State Meet in Clovis before heading home for graduation.
Saint Mary’s High made headlines at the State Meet in Clovis over the weekend with seniors Ron Smith, Chloe Jenkins, and Zoie Campbell taking top spots before heading home to Sunday’s graduation at Zellerbach Hall at Cal.
Campbell and Jenkins, with 4 x 400 relay teammates Avi Perteete and Kenady Jackson, ran a 3:43 to bring a state title back home (photo).

The three seniors returned home from Clovis on Saturday night and joined their 137 classmates for Sunday morning’s graduation. Smith and Jenkins graduated Magna Cum Laude, with Smith also receiving the school’s Academic Distinction Award for Achievement in the Field of Dance and the Male Athlete of the Year Award, and Jenkins the Female Athlete of the Year honor. Campbell was one of 42 seniors who graduated with Summa Cum Laude academic honors. Jenkins will head to UCLA in the fall, Campbell to University of Northern Colorado, and Smith will play football at San Diego State.
Congratulations to all members of Saint Mary’s Class of 2015, pictured at the campus Cross following the June 5 ”Presentation to the Student Body.” One hundred percent of the class was accepted to a college or university of their choice and to date have received an aggregate total of over $7.1 million in scholarships (academic, athletic, and private) in addition to significant amounts of need-based financial aid.

More than three dozen members of Saint Mary’s Class of 1965 joined the seniors for commencement and received special 50-year diplomas.
