Cash for College: FAFSA Workshop

Cash for College: FAFSA Workshop

Please join the AHS counselors and local financial aid experts for our annual Cash for Collegefinancial aid workshop:

Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012
6:30 - 8:30 PM
AHS Library

This event is designed to help college-bound seniors and their parents understand and complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). There will be staff available to help students complete the FAFSA on the spot. The workshop is free and participating seniors will be eligible to enter a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship!

What to bring to the Cash for College workshop:

1. Student and parent Social Security numbers or Alien Registration numbers. If you don't have either, we will have information about scholarships you may be eligible for.

2. Your family's most recent federal tax forms (1040s, W-2s, etc.). You will not have to reveal this information to anyone, but you will need it to complete the forms. If your family's 2011 federal tax returns are not yet ready, bring 2010 returns for estimating.

Cash for College is presented by East Bay Consortium/Cal-SOAP and the East Bay Cash forCollege Coalition
