Demystifying Remodeling Part 1: Where do I Start?
A conversation on getting your remodel project out of your head and into the real world. This 3-way discussion will feature architect Fran Halperin, of Halperin & Christ in San Rafael; Stephen Shoup, principal of buildingLab in Emeryville; and Mike Litchfield, a founding editor of Fine Homebuilding magazine. Fran Halperin especially loves explaining design and making small spaces work harder; Shoup's design-build firm combines a modernist aesthetic and green practices; and Litchfield's twelfth book, Inlaws, Outlaws and Granny Flats, was named one of the Best Design Books for 2011. Litchfield's Renovation has been in print for more than 30 years; the 4th Edition will be published this Fall.
