Gen7 Green Classroom Installation

Join us, as Gen7 comes to the Bay Area. On Friday, June 3, four Gen7 green classrooms—the Bay Area’s first—will be delivered and installed on the Albany High School campus.

Gen7 is a different kind of green school—a permanent prefab structure that lasts as long as conventional construction at a more affordable price.  Gen7 makes it possible for California’s school districts to expand and replace unhealthy, outdated structures with safe, sustainable classrooms that work within a school’s tight budget and timeline.  A Gen7 costs less to build, less to operate and less to maintain than a traditional building, paying back as much as 60% a year in energy savings.  Over its lifetime, the eco-friendly Gen7 will more than recoup its cost, while educating generations of students in an optimal learning environment.

The groundbreaking starts at 8 a.m., and you’re invited.  The Gen7s will be installed on the Albany High School campus at 603 Key Route Boulevard in Albany, north of the new Aquatic Center. Gen7 employees will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and you will have the opportunity to take photos of the various stages of installation.

The Bay Area’s newest, greenest classrooms will last for decades, but go up in a day.  Come see for yourself.
