Last Friday Ladies (and Gents) Lunch

Last Friday Ladies (and Gents) Lunch presents Sibella Kraus, founder of the SAGE Center at the David Brower Center in downtown Berkeley. SAGE, which stands for Sustainable Agriculture Education, is revitalizing urban-edge agriculture -- those farm lands around the city that bring us fresh produce, dairy and meat.

She also created the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market as well as many other organizations reviving the local food movement. Of course, like many locavores, she was a cook at Chez Panisse, and she's been a journalist covering food and agriculture for the Chronicle and NBC TV.

Lunch -- it's local, organic, sustainably grown, and most importantly, delicious -- from The Bread Workshop is $15 at the door. RSVP to whoisylvia@aol.com or call 510.527.0450.
