This month's meeting will feature Sharon Gamson Danks and Lisa Howard, landscape architects with Bay Tree Design in Berkeley.
Danks recently finished her book Asphalt to Ecosystems: Design Ideas for Schoolyard Transformation, and some of her innovative ideas have been incorporated into the Rosa Parks playground in West Berkeley. She will talk about her ideas on playground spaces for both kids and adults.
From Sylvia Paull:
Bay Tree Design won the bid to redesign 29 school playgrounds in San Francisco and spent three years creating the final designs. If you'd like to see some of these designs, come to the club, where Danks will be selling and signing copies of her book.

Lunch is $15 at the door and is catered by The Bread Workshop, which offers ecological food, playfully designed as well. We might also have some unecological treats from Massee's bakery in the nature of a chocolate confection.
Please RSVP to whoisylvia@aol.com a day before the event to reserve a lunch.
