Lou & Peter Berryman at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse

With Lou squeezing accordion and Peter on guitar, this Madison, Wisconsin-based duo brings down the house with a unique tour de farce, blending midwestern culture with street-smart savvy to demonstrate why they are possibly the funniest songwriters extant.

Lou and Peter have spent over 30 years of writing and singing together, and they've got 13 albums and a long line of classic knee-slappers to their credit, from "Double Yodel" and "Cow Imagination" down through the irresistible gems on their most recent album, The Universe: 14 Examples, like the ruminative "When the World Seems" ("All is an illusion, or is that just an illusion?") and "Ketchup Wasn't Red," an odd song that "has something to do with our newfound discovery that life does not stop being strange when you turn 60." They also just came out with a 300-page Big Songbook: you may well need this if you want to sing along with those snappy lyrics.

Join Lou and Peter for the cheesiest funfest this side of the Dairy State!
