"Open Garden" at the Ocean View Community Organic Garden

The  serves Albany citizens who live in apartments or condos with little space to grow food. We strive to foster a spirit of community, with gardeners growing and sharing organic fruit, produce, herbs and flowers.

The garden is located in at 900 Buchanan St., behind the tennis courts. The garden consists of 22 plots; 16 community, 1 herb, 2 ADA and 3 educational plots. The yearly non-refundable fee is $60 per year. At present, there is a waiting list of several would be gardeners. The Ocean View Community Organic Garden Steering Committee meets five times per year on Sundays during the months of March, May, August, October and January from 11 am–1 pm. Look on bulletin board at the Community Center or the bulletin board outside the garden for upcoming meetings, workdays and events.
