Berkeley's Hillside Club will present the feature-length documentary about the messianic German director Werner Herzog who struggled against all odds in the Amazon basin to make his epic feature Fitzcarraldo.
Burden of Dreams won the British Academy Award for Best Documentary of 1982, and is considered by many critics to be Blank's best film. It was named one of the best 100 films of the twentieth century by Derek Malcolm of The Guardian in London.
The running time of the film is 94 minutes and you'll get to see it on the Hillside Club's big screen, followed by a question and answer session with filmmakers Les Blank and Maureen Gosling.
