Ages: 7–10
Ureka! Science is a unique camp that introduces young scientists to key concepts from
biology, chemistry, and physics. Each class starts with an entertaining demonstration.
The participants are then let loose in the lab, working with nontoxic household items to explore these ideas through engaging experiments, recording what they see in their personal lab notebook. A group discussion at the end of each class allows lab partners to share their observations and foster the connection between ideas and experience. Topics covered include optics, density, and comparison of plant and animal cells under microscopes, pressure/vacuum, microscopic pond life, and much more! The program uses fun and exciting activities to promote scientific literacy, critical thinking, teamwork, problem solving and an exchange
of ideas. Activity sheets are provided daily so that our young scientists can share their experiences at home. A great opportunity for your child to learn directly from instructors
that hold Ph Ds in science.
More Camp Dates & T ime: July 25–July 29 from 9 am–12 pm
