Free Workshop for Parents - Motivating Your Child to Make Good Choices
Alpha College Prep will host a free talk for parents, teaming up with Solano Avenue's favorite psychologist, Abby Mecalf, PhD
Have you ever asked your son to stop playing his video game and put away the dishes? Have you ever tried to get your daughter to turn off the TV and set the table? (If they didn’t ignore you completely, the answer to both these requests was probably “in a minute”). Have you ever tried to get your kids to spend more time on their homework or keep practicing an instrument they want to quit? If you’ve had difficulty motivating your child in any of these areas, this workshop is for you. Come find out what makes your kids tick (their brains really are different) and how to motivate them to make healthy choices (a bonus is finding out how to motivate yourself too)! With humor, the latest research and practical tips Abby will help you get everyone off the couch and in the game.
