GameStop Robbery Suspect Apprehended
The armed hold-up was reported Saturday night in nearby Emeryville. The suspect, gun and cash were found in West Oakland, police said.

EMERYVILLE, CA – A 54-year-old man was arrested Saturday night in West Oakland in connection with the armed robbery of a GameStop store in Emeryville after trying to hide from police and allegedly tossing his gun while he ran off, authorities said.
Officers were called at 9:25 p.m. to the business at 3980 Hollis St. where store employees reported the robbery and provided a description of the suspect, the Emeryville Police Department said.
After an area search, a suspect, spotted in nearby West Oakland, hid from one officer and then ran throwing "an object" into a commercial yard, police said. The man, later identified as Donald Jackson, was apprehended and positively identified by GameStop employees, the department said.

Officers reportedly recovered the stolen cash on the suspect, police said, adding that a loaded firearm was found in the commercial yard and identified by store workers as the firearm used in the robbery.
Jackson was arrested for suspicion of robbery and gun possession charges.
