German Family Karneval January 30

The Berkeley campus of the German International School of Silicon Valley (GISSV), is proud to bring a German Family Karneval to the Bay Area. Join us on Saturday, January 30 from 12:00pm-6:00pm at 1581 LeRoy Avenue, Berkeley, 94708.

Since 1341, Germany has celebrated Fasching or Karneval from Bavaria to Bremen. Known as Mardi Gras around the world, it’s a time to forget about your everyday problems and enjoy life to its fullest.

We invite people of all ages to GISSV’s Berkeley Campus where you’ll experience our authentic cuisine & traditions featuring specially crafted beers & wine, sausages, sauerkraut, sweets, music & entertainment from Germany and beyond.

Arts & crafts, carnival games and a petting zoo for the kids, so wear your costume and join the parade!

Admission is free.

Proceeds benefit GISSV’s Hillside Renovation Fund.
