Today's GOP: Smoking Crack?

I was a "mature" dot-commer in the nineties, and I was shocked when I heard the marketers complaining about some graphics from a contractor: "He is smoking crack!" I didn't realize they were using a common slight, but thought they were irresponsibly accusing someone of serious drug abuse.

When an entire party dives into a narcissistic, self-destructive vortex of its own most bogus memes, they are a danger to our economy and even our democracy. Their minds are definitely addled, it remains to be determined if the crack is metaphorical.

I have a new toy: a Wacom pressure-sensitive stylus that works on my iPad. It gives me more control over lines, simulating media that broaden like ink pens or get darker like an airbrush. Previously I used a pressure sensitive tablet on my PC, but the image was on the screen and the pen was on a separate tablet w/o image, so coordinating the two was trickier.
