Man From Berkeley Dies From Head Injuries
Police say he walked into a hospital for treatment.

BERKELEY, CA — A 26-year-old Berkeley man who walked into Alta Bates Summit Medical Center with a head injury on Saturday died at the hospital the next day, police said.
Berkeley police Sgt. Andrew Frankel said foul play does not appear to have been a factor in the man's death and police won't have any more information to share about his cause of death until after the Alameda County
coroner's report is completed, which could take weeks or months.
At about 10:45 a.m. Saturday, a Berkeley police officer who was at Alta Bates on a separate matter was flagged down by a staff member who told him about the man who had walked in with a head injury, Frankel said.

"Based on the man's injuries and absent any direct evidence indicating if this was an accident or a crime, detectives were contacted," he said.
The man then died of his injuries on Sunday, according to Frankel.
