Man Shot Dead Near Cutting Boulevard
The 40 year old was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday afternoon.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Richmond on Sunday afternoon.
At 4:56 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired near South 26th Street and Cutting Boulevard, according to police. Additionally, police received 911 calls reporting a man down, police said.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

Medical personnel arrived on scene and pronounced the victim dead. Police have identified him as 40-year-old Richmond resident Nekolas Evans. Witnesses at the scene were unable to provide any information about the shooting suspect, police said.
The shooting marks the city’s 20th homicide of the year.
