New Albany High School Principal Chosen

The 2016-17 school year was marked by turmoil, culminating in the reassignment of the previous principal.

ALBANY, CA — The Albany Unified School District Board has appointed Alexia Ritchie as the new Albany High School Principal.

Ritchie is a 25 year veteran of the district with experience as a teacher and administrator for both elementary and secondary schools. Her work includes principal positions at MacGregor High School, Albany Adult School, and most recently at Marin Elementary School.

Introductions and "meet and greet" opportunities for the Albany High School community will be coordinated and announced soon.

Ritchie, according to the district, is honored to be appointed principal of Albany High School and looks forward to collaborating with staff and families in her new role.
