Panthers Make Music, Home Runs, and Relay Plans

Saint Mary's musical debut at the Albany Arts & Green Festival, Panthers & Cougars are TCAL Co-Champs, and SM is making Relay plans.

Thanks to Albany for inviting Saint Mary’s High to make their Memorial Park musical debut at the Arts & Green Festival on Sunday, May 3! Despite the blustery winds pummeling their music stands, members of the school’s Jazz Ensemble, led by Music Director Mr. Matt Ferreira and with Senior favorite Julia Bloom on vocals, wowed the crowd with swing favorites that had the audience toe-tapping and even got a few dancers on their feet. Congratulations to the Panthers and Cougars who are sharing the regular season TCAL Baseball Co-Champs title for 2015! Pictured are Panther Baseball Seniors and their families at ”Senior Day” before the SM - Pinole Valley game at Saint Mary’s Brady Park on May 2. Saint Mary’s will again be joining the Albany Relay for Life later this month, and has big plans not only to walk, but to again help entertain the participants, with the Cheerleaders planning to help get the event started, an SM-teacher-led Zumba class during the event, a student choral performance, and more. Photo shows some of the many Saint Mary’s walkers at the 2014 Relay.
