Parents: Are You Signed Up For Emergency Notifications From Your Child's School?

The district updated its emergency communication process today. (Breaking schools news)

ALBANY, CA — The Albany Unified School District has just updated its emergency communication process.

Most importantly, families will receive automated phone calls and emails from the district stating:

1) A description of the emergency

3) Details on what communication methods will be used to provide additional information as it becomes available.

How do you know if you're currently signed up for emergency notifications? You should have recently received an automated phone call or email reminding you about the recent Back to School Night at your student’s school.

If not, contact the secretary at you child's school.

Here is the complete Emergency Communication Process. And the full notification from the school district:

All AUSD Families: Please ask the school secretary for assistance if: 1) You did not receive an automated phone call or email reminding you about the recent Back to School Night at your student’s school; 2) You do not currently receive any automated phone calls or emails from the district or school; and/or 3) You do not know how to access the AUSD website, the AUSD Facebook page, or the AUSD Twitter account.
