Photo Gallery: Rocky Horror Draws Colorful Crowd to Albany Twin
The event, which includes a movie and a simultaneous performance by a live cast, happens at the theater on the second Saturday of every month.
It's been 35 years since the Rocky Horror Picture Show first hit the silver screen, and its draw remains strong for old and new fans alike. It's not every cult movie that regenerates a legion of fans with each generation, but then, Rocky Horror isn't just any cult movie. Last spring, Rocky Horror found a home in Albany. The live show and screening is put on by a cast that has performed the show around the Bay Area since 1995. Co-director Bridgid McGuinness said the Albany Twin has provided a home base for the cast, as well as a stage for performances.
