Pixar Vehicle Burglaries: 2 Arrested

Security guards called police after watching the pair on surveillance cameras.

EMERYVILLE, CA — Two men were arrested Monday on suspicion of auto burglary in Emeryville after security at Pixar Animation Studios reported them for allegedly looking into parked vehicles with flashlights, according to police.

Officers responding to the area of 1250 45th St. found Andrew Tyler Holle and Hasani Maliknari Venson, both from Oakland, and they matched the descriptions provided by Pixar security.

Officers determined that Holle was on probation for vandalism and searched him, allegedly finding two tablet computers and someone else's credit card.

Venson had insurance and registration information for a nearby vehicle, according to police.

Police searched the area and found two vehicles with broken windows and a punch tool for breaking windows nearby.

Holle, 20, and Venson, 22, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of burglary tools.
