Register Your Albany Security Cameras With Police
Security cameras at homes and businesses help police solve crimes.
ALBANY, CA — Have you registered your home or business security cameras with the Albany Police Department?
When a crime happens, police often get suspect and vehicle information from security cameras. It takes time to go door-to-door to check for security footage, but if residents and businesses register with APD the process is speeded-up — officers request that you check your video for a certain date and time frame.
Registering with the police department does not give them access to your video — you still control it.
